Solberg Claims First Victory, in Rally GB
 After so many near misses
this season Norway's Petter Solberg won the Network Q Rally of Great Britain,
his first ever victory in the World Rally Championship. Solberg and Welsh
co-driver Phil Mills driving their Subaru passed overnight leader Marco Martin
on the first stage of the final day, managing to increase his lead throughout
the final day.
This win brings Solberg up to second in the
championship behind Peugeot's all conquering Marcus Gronholm.
The Prodrive Subaru uses a 4 wheel
drive transmission designed by Hewland and Prodrive with Hewland manufactured
internals. |
